====== Historique ======

Dear Deer est un duo lillois né en 2015, composé de Federico Iovino ([[:Popoï Sdioh]]) et Sabatel ([[:Guerre Froide]], [[:Cheshire Cat]]). Ce duo mélange des sonorités post-punk et noise en passant par la nowave discoïde.

Après une démo autoproduite sort très rapidement leur premier album, [[:albums:oh my...|Oh My...]] en 2016 (CD+vinyl Swiss Dark night/Manic Depression). Le titre //Claudine in Berlin// tiré de ce même album a été l’occasion d’un premier clip vidéo disponible sur [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABXS96v7aGE|Youtube]].

L'origine du nom du groupe est donnée dans une interview à Le Bombardier : //Cela vient d’un morceau du groupe américain **Corpses as Bedmates** qui s’intitule “Dear Dear”. Cette chanson parle d’un jeu simiesque. Les protagonistes semblent se regarder et se fuir en même temps. Il y a aussi l’idée de trouver un miroir dans l’autre, pour un groupe en duo, cela semblait parfait.//

Entre-temps le duo n’a cessé de tourner en Europe (Belgique, France, Pays-Bas, Allemagne, Pologne, Suisse, Italie, Portugal...) et a enchaîné les lives avec des groupes tels que KVB, Boy Harsher, Perturbator, Kas Product, Le Prince Harry, Savage Republic, Guerre Froide, ...etc.

Leur deuxième album "Chew-chew" est sorti le 11 octobre 2018 sur Manic Depression (Vinyl) et Swiss Dark nights (Cd digipack).

Dear Deer est l'un des vainqueurs du tremplin [[https://www.tourdechauffe.fr/laureats-2020|Tour de Chauffe édition 2020 (lien cassé)]]. [[artistes:Sabatel]] avait déjà été lauréate avec [[:Cheshire Cat]].
